It was designed as a turnkey solution to guarantee the quality, security and management needs of Telepresence.

: Managed services for VirtuaLive service is typically in the range of $6,000 per month per end-point for unlimited 24/7 support.

Complementary Network Service include:

  • Secure Virtual Private Network - The company delivers an overlay network solution that handles every aspect of provisioning the appropriate network bandwidth to each location with proactive monitoring and 24/7 customer support.

Telepresence Options Analysis

While the entrance of Cisco, HP, and Polycom into the telepresence market has lifted all of the early telepresence providers' boats probably none has risen higher than Teliris. The company has nicely leveraged their multi-year head start in telepresence conferencing and a 4th generation product to successfully battle their more well-known and better financed competitors.

The company received a $40 million investment from Columbia Capital and Fidelity Ventures in February of 2007 and has been off to the races ever since.  The capital has been invested to finance an accelerated growth plan which has seen the size of the company double from ~ 40 employees to more than 90+ today.  More global demonstration facilities, an expanded marketing and PR effort, new and expanded offices and a new VNOC in Asia-Pac are a few of the recent investments.  The company has also recently brought on board a new President in Mack Treece the former President of Orange Business Services (formerly Equant), the enterprise side of France Telecom.

One of the company's greatest strengths remains its growing network of Global Fortune 5000 clients that have the ability to communicate with each other securely over the Teliris InfiNET network.  The company has also done more work on inter-operability with disparate telepresence systems than any other vendor and its Telepresence Gateway looks exceptionally promising.
