ROCHESTER, N.Y., June 15 -- TelePresence Tech and PicturePhone Direct, a value-added distributor of video conferencing products, today announced that they have signed a distribution agreement for telepresence systems in the US. Under the agreement, PicturePhone will distribute TelePresence Tech's TPT50 interactive telepresence system as well as future virtual meeting products.

The contract covers distribution services as well as customer-specific customization of the TPT50 telepresence units, telepresence system configuration, as well as fulfillment to end user customers through PicturePhone's dealer network in the US.

The TPT50 is a self-contained 3D telepresence system that can be rolled to a position at the end of a conference room table or through a single door to another meeting. The TPT50 system is ideal for corporate communications, training, education, interviews, consulting and many other applications. The 50" plasma monitor can display one person at life-size or a small group of two or three people at close to life-size.
