Cisco Announces Appointment of Charles Stucki as VP/GM for TelePresence Systems Business Unit
Marthin De Beer, Senior Vice President of Cisco's Emerging Markets Technology Group (EMTG) announced today that Charles Stucki has accepted the position of Vice President and General Manager of Cisco's TelePresence Systems Business Unit (TSBU). Stucki has been VP of Business Development since early 2006 and led the cross-functional TelePresence Team that brought the TelePresence product and services to market over the last year.
According to De Beer, "The excitement from customers, press, and analysts about Cisco TelePresence is an opportunity for us to use TelePresence to drive the globalization of business models, revolutionize collaboration, drive productivity, showcase our Human Network vision, and make any company more eco-friendly. We are seeing sales and our pipeline for TelePresence gain momentum every week. However, as I have said many times before, it is the go-to market process, coupled with continuous innovation that will get these new emerging technologies to a billion dollars and this requires a special type of leader."
Stucki joined Cisco over six years ago. In his first four years at Cisco, he served as the VP of the Internet Business Solutions Group Manufacturing practice and worked with global account teams, theater and area sales leadership, and senior business executives in global high-tech, automotive, aerospace, and industrial companies. Prior to joining the EMTG, he led a cross-Cisco program to set a Cisco-wide strategy and action plan to upgrade process and systems infrastructure in order to better support Cisco's growing software businesses.
This past year, Stucki also worked on developing the criteria and process for vetting and incubating new ideas into the next emerging technologies. He holds a BS, summa cum laude, from Brigham Young University, a CPA, and an MBA, with high distinction, from the Harvard Business School.
