The full-featured telepresence systems will allow Mercedes-Benz USA to link field offices located throughout the United States with the main campus located in Montvale, New Jersey. The Digital Presence System facilitates real-time video, audio and data in a life-size, face-to-face environment. The systems will incorporate the most advanced capabilities developed by Telanetix including multipoint conferencing and the ability to collaborate using video content derived from external sources such as a DVD player. The open data platform allows users to work with their data and programs in their native form without the need to translate into an intermediate program.
