Telanetix to Present at Merriman Curhan Ford & Company Investor Summit 2006

Company to Discuss Continued Growth Strategy

SAN DIEGO, Sept. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Telanetix, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: TNXI - News) a leading developer of IP networks, video and conferencing standards will present an overview of its business strategy at the Merriman Curhan Ford & Company Investor Summit 2006 held at the Mark Hopkins Hotel in San Francisco. The Company is scheduled to present at 3:00pm on September 19, 2006. A copy of the presentation is available on the Company website, www.telanetix.com

About Telanetix, Inc.

Telanetix, Inc. has developed a unique technology which creates a fully immersive and interactive environment that integrates audio, video, and data from multiple locations into a single environment regardless of geographic boundaries. The company's Digital Presence Technology delivers full size, face-to-face images of real-time video, audio, and data in high quality resolution at 30 frames per second which is so profoundly real that users feel as if they are all present in the same room. Using Telanetix developed Codecs and advanced MPEG-4 compression on a Linux platform, the Company has effectively replaced the central videoconferencing bridge of legacy systems with high quality decentralized IP multicasting which provides speed and resolution which is significantly greater than those found in most existing technologies.

HSL's Thoughts and Analysis

Telanetix is looking for another round of investment and it looks like a fairly good time to be in the market for telepresence solution providers. According to my calculations the number of telepresence group systems has more than doubled this year to more than 40 companies deploying almost 300 systems. I am estimating that this number will more than double again in 2007 to 600-1000+ deployed systems and with the recent strong growth reported by Teliris, Destiny Conferencing, and Telanetix and with Cisco about to unleash their 16,000+ meat-eating carnivorous sales dogs, technical gunslingers, and commission driven mercenaries that prediction seems to be right on-track.

Visual collaboration in general seems to be hot as evidenced by LifeSize Communications closing a $25MM Series D round of financing which was announced on Monday. The Lab has even gotten our first interest in Powwow Virtual, our business model/opportunity for a global network of publicly available telepresence conferencing centers with the true potential for exponential growth (see our ad in the back of Telpresence, Effective Visual Collaboration, and the Future of Global Business at the Speed of Light).

I believe this interest in telepresence and effective visual collaboration is driven by the improved quality of the solutions coming to market and all the reasons I outlined in the paper especially inflation and the price of oil, which while having dipped conveniently in time for the elections, should resume its upward march after November 7th. Remember where you heard it first...

The Telanetix deck can be found Here and I have posted what I thought was the most interesting slide below (I have a similar slide... with more players... that are in different positions... but it takes a consulting engagement to see it ;-)

Other HPL News

Traffic to the Lab's website continues to skyrocket! Yesterday, driven by the release of the second edition of our free newsletter, The Art of Productivity, we had the most traffic ever to the Lab's website. We have four different web statistical tools (Awstats, Webalizer, RiteCounter, and Google Analytics) and, frankly, they all suck for various reasons. Depending on which one you ask yesterday we had somewhere between 425 and 1207 visits and between 16,604 and 18,309 hits. Every tool gives a different # and it boggles the mind how reporting web traffic fails to be an exact science.
